About Sigma Credit Capital
A commercial credit brokerage. We act for borrowers, take their financing request to several lenders and negotiate the terms. We are not a lender.
What the firm does
Banks are no longer the only source of commercial debt. Private credit funds, debt funds and family offices now lend across acquisitions, real estate, trade and cross-border situations, each with its own criteria and pricing.
Large companies usually hire a debt adviser to run a process across those lenders. Mid-market companies, property developers and Latin American borrowers often take the first offer from the bank they already use.
Sigma Credit Capital runs that process for them: a credit memo written to lender standard, a shortlist of lenders agreed with the client, a timetable and a common bid format, and negotiation through to the first drawdown.
Independence and fees
These terms are written into every engagement letter.
No loan book
We do not lend our own capital, so we have no portfolio to fill and no reason to prefer one structure over another.
Lenders do not pay to see deals
A lender receives a request because it fits the lender's criteria.
Fees disclosed in advance
Our fees are agreed in writing before work starts. Any commission paid by a lender is disclosed to the client before the facility is accepted.
Mainly paid on funding
Most of our fee is a success fee. If the process does not produce terms the client accepts, no success fee is payable.
